Capacity building training workshop on agricultural policy analysis

The Centre for Alleviation of Poverty through Sustainable Agriculture (CAPSA) in collaboration with the Indonesian Centre for Agriculture, Socio-Economic and Policy Studies (ICASEPS) organized a five-day capacity building training workshop on agricultural policy analysis with a focus on the use of household surveys and agricultural statistics for food security and poverty reduction. It was held in Bogor, Indonesia on 26-30 November 2012. The objective of the workshop is to strengthen the capacity of policymakers and policy analysts working in the Ministry of Agriculture and related institutes in Indonesia to develop a comprehensive understanding of the current policy issues affecting agriculture, food security and poverty; design new agricultural household surveys where necessary; and use of modern analytical techniques for effective policy analysis.
